Melissa Robertson is not only a pretty darn good vocalist and guitar player from the Alabama Gulf Coast; she may very well own the largest selection of tacky vintage country western shirts within a 50 mile range. The ridiculous shirts work to compliment her raspy vocal style while she belts out crowd favorites in every set she plays.
Melissa started her musical journey at the age of 8 when her uncle gave her a guitar. It wasn’t until about two years ago that she discovered she could buy neato vintage western shirts on ebay (with one click).
Over the last decade, she has been a guitar playing wing-woman for several Gulf Coast vocalists but now performs as vocalist for her own duo. Melissa has had the opportunity to play The River Shack, Traders, Veets, Café 615 and many other fine venues on the Gulf Coast.
She is currently working on her first EP and has released a single called “900 Miles”. The single is available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon or at www.cdbaby.com/cd/melissarobertson1. Melissa hopes to complete and release the EP in the spring of 2017. She also hopes to expand her collection of tacky western shirts.
